Leisuregroove born to East London in 1978 is a UK House producer and DJ. Starting off originally DJing and producing UK garage music, Leisuregroove found his niche producing House music in 2002. Armed with just a G4 Mac, Logic 6, instruments, and some samples, Leisuregroove produced his first House track ‘Fine Art Pt1’ which was released in 2006 by Afro Medusa’s label Decadent Records, supported by Judge Jules and Pete Tong on BBC Radio One & Seb Fontaine’s essential mix live from Cafe Mambo IBIZA.
Leisuregroove then designed and built his first recording studio and produced his next release ‘Fallen Angel’ Ft. Sevi G. This release was soon snapped up by German producers ‘The SunLoverz’ and released on label Lickin’ Records, showcasing remixes from Thomas Gold & Chris Ortega. Fallen Angel became a huge European hit for Leisuregroove, charting No.33 nationally in Bulgaria, and featured on Top 100 House compilations in Europe.
Then came Leisuregroove’s release on Decedent Records ‘Little Love’ which gave him his status in the UK and was featured on Hed Kandi’s Beach House compilation in 2007 and also played relentlessly on BBC Radio One by Judge Jules. Alongside releasing on Decadent, Leisuregroove was still producing music for Lickin’ Records and produced ‘Untrue’ which was another big hit in Germany featuring remixes from Ian Carey and Sunloverz.
Starting his own label, Digital Disco Records, Leisuregroove started to release music himself and his debut release was co-written with Bizarre Inc’s Angie Brown. ‘I’ll Shine’ was featured on another Hed Kandi Beach House compilation and set the bench mark for new label Digital Disco Records. Leisuregroove then started to collaborate with Sexy Trash Records owner and DJ Rustem Rustem, producing the monster hit ‘People’, which is still being supported globally from DJ’s like Sander Kleinenberg and Roger Sanchez, and charted both in Beatport and Traxsource top 100 House charts.
Now collaborating with Hoxton Whores Kevin Andrews, Leisuregroove produced the club hit, ‘Everybody Dance’ which went straight to number one in the Beatport House chart within three weeks of being released. ‘Burning Up’ was then next released, peaking at number 20 in the Beatport House top 100 charts. Continuing to collaborate with Kevin Andrews, Leisuregroove came the remix 90’s hit track Xpansions ‘Move Your Body’, released under the guise of Leisuregroove & Kevin Andrews; ‘Move Your Body’ peaked at number 24 in the top 100 House tracks on Beatport.
Since then Leisuregroove regularly collaborates with both Kevin Andrews and Rustem Rustem, and is now signed to labels, 303Lovers, Subliminal, World Sound, Maquina Music, East Van Digital, Lickin’ Records, Intech Records, Digital Disco Records, Axis Trax, Serotonin Digital, Double Shock Recordings, Decadent Recordings, to name a few. Now established house music producer Leisuregroove has set up recording studio in Kent and is now studying a degree BSc (Hons) in Audio Design & Production and also working as an engineer for UK and International house producers!
